Many companies outsource, and I often hear that it's cheaper to hire engineers overseas, but is this really true? Companies like Intel, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo hire local workers mostly, and they are performing great. Many companies set up oversea operations aren't necessarily performing so well. So, ... is it better to hire local workers, or you can't really generalize?
