Have you heard about the arcitect that thinks the Chinese were the first to discover Cape Breton? I think that it is a load of crap, but who knows stranger things have been discovered. I wonder if this is going to be looked at seriously by anyone of significance. I think that it should, even if just to discredit it totally.
But everyone knows tht this publicisty can't hurt CB. We can use all of the tourism dollars that we can get. Maybe it will help us out in the same way as Anne helped out PEI with the Japanese

I find this hard to believe link me to something. However there is wide belief that the chinese were visiting and had discovered the west coast of north american between 1400 to 1421. For someone from Asia to sail all the way to Nova Scotia would be a feat almost impossible for the time. Chinese sailors did make it to africa and open up trade!.
Currently Vikings are claimed to be the first people in the east coast of North America, along with the debate some sea fearing celts from the earl or orkney to Irish monks might of landed before Columbus.
The whole thing is a bunch of crock. What does an architect know about archaeology? A whole lot of nothing. So what if he found some strange artefacts. My guess is that who ever crossed the atlantic traded with the Chinese before heading over. That is a lot more sensible, come on, why would they decide to settle in CB when they would of either had to walk accross North America or sail around it.
Maybe they settled Westren North America first but definetly not Eastern
