On October 5 some players will have an extra reason to play outstanding, it is an Olympic year. There are a number of great players that would be on almost any international team, however they are Canadian and the problem with Team Canada is that there are too many players to pick from.
Some of the players that are looking to have a exceptional first half so that they have a better chance of making it to Turin are, Rick Nash, and Paul Kariya.
Another thing that is going to be interesting is watching these teams that made so many changes recently. Pittsburg went from nothing to something, and it is not only because of Crosby.

Its professional hockey. Pay to play find players anywheres. The majority of pro hockey players are Canadians, the americans/russians the rest are from all over europe
