As usual, the mouth roared and again not much came out of it except to put down Sidney Crosby.
On Hockey Night in Canada on Nov. 19, Don Cherry was critical of Sidney and, as Cherry called it, his embellishment of hits against him during the game in Philadelphia earlier that week.
Cherry went on to call him the "golden boy" in what was, to me, a demeaning manner.
If Sidney was from Ontario, he would be a Cherry favourite, but alas, he is not! I think it is time for all Maritimers to defend Sidney and show Cherry for what he is.
As a Maritimer, I am extremely tired of his constant criticism of Sidney. This kid has done nothing but be an exemplary representative of the Maritimes and young people in general, and I hope everyone jumps on the Sidney bandwagon to tell Cherry how proud we are and how fed up we are with Don Cherry and his pompous attitude.
Go Sidney!

My, my. I know it's been a hot topic here at home, but I wonder how many young talented hockey players really care to be "Cherry favorites" anymore. What do you guys think?
