So what do you think about the "NEW" NHL? I am liking it for the most part, but there have been a lot of things that are not working. One of the main things is what is happening in front of the net, goalies are being run, and the defense cannot defend their nets properly. I understand the need to curb the hooking and stick work in the neutral zone or in a chase, but in front of the net you have to be able to tie up the opposition.

Also there is a lot more shots from the point, and that is another case where the defense cannot move the screeners, it is much easier just to shoot all night and get goals than running exciting plays.

Finially, I think that there were a lot of rule changes that were not necessary, but I will wait till mid-season till they figure out how to solve the new problems.
