Well I heard today that they have decided on some sort of salary cap. But that was it. Has anyone else heard anything that might look like there is going to be a draft and maybe even a season next year?

Or Do you care?

THE NHLPA AGREED TO A 36 MILLION DOLLAR CAP. Which is foolish because the season could of been saved ages ago if they agreed to a 46 million cap. Hockey sucks now, the simple fact for it to survive is it needs less teams, less money and a expansive game.

The solution comes in two simple forms

1. make the goalies go back to smaller gear

2. make the rinks 100 by 90 , not olympic sized but it opens up the flow.

as for watching hockey i could careless if there was another season I didnt even miss it.

Sources with the NHL and NHLPA have stated that there may be an end to the lockout by the end of June. Whoop-d-do

Since the biggest thing to the player was a salary capp and they ended up taking one in the end, for less to boot, I think that the players should hang the people who were advising them by the balls. What is the point of hurting the game to the point where you loose the season over some money only to bow to the pressure of the owners when no one cares anymore.

They are all pathetic, there was a time where hockey players had second jobs so they could survive, sorta like the CFL

That is very true, but those days are gone and aren't going to come back anytime soon.

I think that the more likly thing is that the players are finally going to be recieveing salaries that the game can actually sustain.

In the CFL players play more for the love of the game than for the money and that is why Canadian's like it so much and for that same reason they were never on the side of the Players throughout the lockout. Players have to realize that people like them for their skill and not because they make a lot of money
