Columns: Iraq, George Bush, The American People, Intelligence, and the Middle East

Why they all need a good swift kick in the genitals

Ah yes Iraq, the land of the Persian, Arabian and Babylonian empires, homeland of many epic bible stories. A land rich in history of getting bent right over the table and getting reamed like a prison sex toy, passed around the yard more times than a joint. Let’s not look on the negatives, let’s look at the positives. After 3 long years of war, and about 20 years of Saddam the Iraqi people finally had their own democratic vote, HOORAY. Okay minus the big glaring fact that the country is still on lock down, the US Army is around and every Muslim extremist with a rocket propelled grenade is running around looking too kill “whitey”

This war started some 3 years ago as a mess being cleaned up, see way back in the 1980s the US Government sorta, kinda had relations with both Iraq and Iran and well equally didn’t think highly of either. So they gave weapons to both sides hoping for a winner take all and love the U.S.A out come. Well 8 years, a few HUNDRED thousand dead, some massive Kurdish genocide, torture and no real out come both countries not officially hate the great white Satan, makes damn fine CNN. Basically the quagmire of Iraq was the leftovers of the C.I.A and a mess that should have been finished back in 1991, but good old Junior there thought up a plan and connected Saddam to Osama and led the charge. Which is silly considering the Muslim world hated Saddam, he was considered very secular, hell Osama Bin Laden wanted to have him killed and even wanted to fight along side the Americans to free Iraq back in 1991. Oops sorry but the Americans have a track record of installing the wrong leaders and alienating their allies (please see Pincohet, Saddam, Shah of Iran, General Norrigea etc)

So the extremist Muslim terrorist aspect isn’t a reason to invade…OH SNAP I forgot Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. Well put Iraq on punk’d cause that is what happened to the U.S.A. Turns out all the weapons from the first gulf war was gone, plus all the poison gas was used on the Kurds a few decades before hand.

Okay so they got Saddam, killed his sons yet they found no terrorist links and weapons yet they opened up Iraq for terrorists to flood in. So I guess the score is 2-2-1, what about SAFTEY. On scratch that Baquba, Abu Gharib, Fallujah, Baghdad and Mosul are too dangerous to even allow personnel drive to the air port, people have to be flown in, heck most of the 300,000 people of Fallujah HAVENT come home to their rubble pile that was once a city.

Really nothing is going right, the war has turned into a full scale guerilla war, over 100,000 Iraqis have been killed, 100,000 NON Combatants, that is your women and children demographic. Some 2500 American soldiers are dead, not including the not counted beheadings and killings of contract workers, well unless the work for Halliburton we shouldn’t care, oh I’m bad. Seems that the US military is having a super hard time recruiting, and no one knows why. And yet the white house marches on, taking praise for spreading democracy across the Middle East. Just happens Syria pulled out of Lebanon for the first time in 20 years, do you think this just might co-inside with the fact that Syria is neighbours with Iraq and has been well a thorn in the side of the U.S.A for some time now. Yeah I smell balls shrinking.

So lets count, no weapons, no terrorist, intimidating other middle eastern countries with war, threatening to now invade potential uber hot spots Iran and North Korea (you think Iraq is bad, you haven’t seen nothing yet.) And the White House all high and mighty thinking we are helping, while at the same time is about 1 short step away from the draft. I happen to have a buddy in the US Army, discharged for now and he explained they have 4 levels to deployment and well step 3 is old reservists and discharged people, step 4 is draft. The Americans are already on #3. YEAH GO TEAM!

And somewhere in the world, the ultimate James Bond villain Osama Bin Laden is laughing in his super layer, laughing at them all.
