OTTAWA – As we celebrate our nation’s 138th birthday, let us remember all that makes Canada such a great nation: our belief in honesty and hard work; community and compassion; democracy and decency; family and freedom. In every part of Canada, these values define us as individuals and as Canadians. When we celebrate these values, we celebrate Canada.
Our country is the envy of the world and people from every corner of the globe and every walk of life have come here with a common dream – to build a great and prosperous nation. Today we come together and pay tribute to their contribution.
We have much to be proud of this July 1st as we celebrate all that is this great country. On behalf of my wife Laureen, our family, and the Conservative Party of Canada, I extend our best wishes to all Canadians for a safe and happy Canada Day.
