Cheney in the US is making a killing from his Halliburton Stock Options. The US Administration has funnneled huge amounts of money into the company through Iraq and now Katrina. At least to me it seems wrong for the VP of a world power to benefit from this.

I got the whole story Here

Well this isn't new news. Bush and Dick have owned Haliburton for ages, Haliburton gets all the contracts. People in power positions have been doing this for ages, in the USA, Canada and all around the world. They have a company and want to profit. Then again the way they are going about it reeks of ass balls and feet.

Should really fall under "corruption" the way I see it! Government is supposed to be there to serve its people - not for members to "help themselves"!

That is soo true but what can you do when the government has cut education to the point that the people with HS have no idea what is going on and any good spin doctor can make people point to the party with a less good spin doctor

Just another reason not to visit a rather mucked up country. It seems everything is done for either financial or political gains over there from Iraq to selecting the top judges. I just hope one day the more intellegent Americans who can see what's going on have the option to move to Canada.
