It was released today that there are no worries about debris from an American booster hitting oil rigs off the coast of Newfoundland. Last week and earkier this week there were fears that the oil rigs would have to be evacuated prior to a launch in the case that something goes wrong and debris lands near the oil rigs.
"The United States Air Force has said that they are able and prepared to destroy the rocket at any point before the deployment of the boosters," said Williams.
So basically the USAF has stated that they have the ability and will use the ability to destroy the rockets if something doesn't go according to plan.
